Speaker: Abigail Dahlberg
20 November, 4 p.m. GMT
Sustainability is a buzzword that is thrown around a lot nowadays. But what does it really mean? What kind of opportunities exist to work more in this growing field? And what pitfalls do we need to be aware of when translating?
In the first half of this two-part session, you will learn more about the nitty gritty of sustainability issues, with a special focus on sustainability reporting. We’ll delve into the latest trends in reporting and how businesses are communicating their efforts to strike a balance between people, planet and profits.
The second part will be a hands-on workshop. We’ll spend some time looking at the conundrums facing translators working from German into English based on real-world projects. You’ll be sent texts ahead of time to review, should you prefer to work ahead. We’ll wrap up the session in plenty of time for Q&A.
