For the last few months, members of the Colegio Mexicano de Intérpretes de Conferencias have been training a group of indigenous community interpreters to work in simultaneous mode in a project co-sponsored by the Italia Morayta Foundation and Intérpretes y Traductores en Servicios Públicos y Comunitarios.

The end-of-course project is a panel of indigenous experts who will speak in their own native tongues about the current situation of indigenous peoples in Mexico. Our student will interpret into Spanish and members of our association will take relay from them and interpret into English.
